MMO experience: I've been playing MMO-games from the very first time I got a computer. Actually the first online game I played was a MMO-game called Maple Story. A pretty silly game with lame graphic but still I loved it. After that I've been rolling through tons of MMO-games like Dofus, Lineage, Everquest, Flyff, and so on, untill i finally found WoW and totally loved it.
Availability? We raid Sunday-Thursday and our normal raiding hours are 19-23. I have no problems with the attendence at all. I can raid every day between 16.00 - 01.00 if that would have been your raid times.

Current and previous guild(s) and your reason for leaving: I don't know if you want to hear the short or the long version of this, so to be safe I'm going to tell you the long one! Fasten your seatbelts (if your not intrested in my whole guild history just skip this wall of text):
Vanilla WoW wasn't really that serious for me. I was very young and didn't really realize what to do more then level up. I played with my friends for fun. When I did get to level 60 and understood that it's an entierly different game when you reached it, TBC got released and I had to level again. Though now I swore to god I wanted to clear every content available in TBC. I joined the guild called "A few good fellas" wich still plays on frostmane (as if you didn't know..) and I managed to fulfill my oath! Back then I was playing on a feral druid and when the content was cleared and I was fully geared I started to level up alts and stopped playing on the druid.
My first alt was a human priest on Outland EU which I just leveled up to 70 and right after that I did the same thing with a Shaman on the same server. And finally a Rogue on frostmane. I still played on my druid when we had raids, but nothing more then that. When WOTLK was about to come, me and my in real life friends decided to stick to outland alliance and I started to focus more on my human priest.
We migrated to Xavius EU and joined a guild called "Prestige-gaming" which was a "Hardcore" guild. Nothing to brag about really, since Xavius had like 5 guilds. Anyways, we leveled to 80 as fast as we could and jumped into naxxramas and got realms first. We also got realms first malygos and everything felt great. Though as you might remember the raiding wasn't that fun after clearing naxxramas, malygos and sartharion on a few hours so almost the whole guild leveled up their alts.
Now it was time for my Shaman to shine. Managed to get full naxx gear before ulduar was released, but due to the boring contents many players stopped playing so we merged with another guild and got a new name <Decision>. This happened in a very bad place and now we couldn't get realms first (cry cry). We cleared ulduar and also cleared the hardmodes and then again the contents got boring and we decided to level our alts and gear them up. But my problem was that I only had my priest and my shaman on Xavius, my rogue was on frostmane EU as horde so I talked to the guild and we said goodbye to eachother, but separeted as friends. So I took this Rogue up to 80 and started to gear it and here I am.
Current server: Frostmane EU
Character profile: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... Bjoernborg I might be in some pvp gear but I'll try to remember to log out in pve gear :]
Raiding
What kind of experience do you have? Have you done SSC, TK, or any other instances in TBC. Have you done any previous content before TBC came out, or are you new to raiding in WotLK?
As I wrote in the "wall of text" I've been clearing all contents in TBC and all contents in WOTLK besides ICC. I did manage to find a pug (even though it's almost impossible without having the achieve already) and killed the 4 first bosses in ICC 10. Though I'm aware of all the fights since endgame contents is in my very interest.
How do you prepare for new content? (Content means instances and bosses)
If there are any test realm up thats a very great way to get to know the new contents and maybe even the upcoming changes of your class. Reading up about the contents is quite obvious if you want to succeed so I won't even mention that
Why do you like raiding? Please tell us why you want to defeat bosses like C'thun, Illidan, Kel'Thuzad and Arthas.
Raiding is the bread and butter in World of Warcraft, especially endgame raiding. The feeling of beeing 25 people around the world, all with the same goal, to clear the content as fast as possible is just incredible. And the feeling when you finally kill the boss you have been whiping so hard on together is just wonderful. I can't even describe the feeling. And thats what I miss.
Mandatory questions
- Top 5 favourite songs: That's a hard one. I actually can't name my 5 favourite songs because it's all depending on what mood I'm in. Though I can say that my favourite genre is Rock. Sometimes very hard rock but other times just smooth rock
- Top 5 favourite movies: I'm really into devastating movies, like when the world is going under etc. So here's my toplist!
1. Lord of the Ring (Must put this as nr.1)
2. Independence day
3. 2012
4. Avatar
5. The Shawshank Redemption
- Favourite book (one will do, even if it's just the Ikea catalogue): Harry Potter
- Name 3 WoW related sites and discuss how they are useful tools for bettering your raiding ability: Actually I'm fine with Mmo-champion and the offical wow forums since they include everything I need to know about upcoming changes and contents and they also give me a nice opportunity to discuss things with other people.
- Do you have a microphone? I have a fully working headset and microphone.
- Can your computer run Ventrilo? It can run both Ventrilo, teamspeak and Skype. At the same time!
- Are you a keyboard turner? Well... Erm... No ofcourse not. I'm using binds for all my macros and spells.
- What is your greatest weakness as a WoW player? What do you do to counteract this? I guess my greatest weakness is that i want to much. If I'm entering a total new content I'm not always satisfied with only taking 2 bosses at one night. If I could decide we should have been raiding non-stop until the content is cleared. Ofcourse it doesnt work that way and even if I'm very eager I need to control it and think that it's better with clear brains and no whipes then tired brains with many whipes
- What is your your greatest strength as a WoW player? My dedication to the game. It's not only a game for me and I don't give up until I'm satisified. And for me to be satisfied it requires very much.
- Which is cooler? Picture 1, 2, or 3? I must say the Jesus picture. Though I'm pretty much thinking about who should win in a battle, the great pink dozer or the epic Jesus. It's going to be a rough fight
Choose 3 of the following
- If you were a cheese, what kind of cheese would you be and why? I think would say cheddar cheese, just because thats the most wonderful cheese that is! You can have it to everything and it only make the other thing taste even better. Very alike me..
- If you could fight any historical character, who would it be and why? Hitler, just to see if he had the gutts to beat me without his army or not!
- When you die, in what form would you like Death to appear to you? With a scythe, totally. I also want him to speak with me and discuss my life with me and take me on a sightseeingtour through it.
- Which of the 4 senses would you rather live without? That's a tricky one. Well, the only sence you don't use in WoW is your taste, so I'll have to go with that one!
- Would you set up someone in the guild with one of your relatives, for a trial period? What relative would you offer? (PS. Make this one good)
I think I would offer my sister
Supplementary
Does anyone in the guild know you and if we asked that person to rank you on a scale of 1 to 10, how high would he or she rate you?
Sadly I don't know anyone in your guild, but if I would I'm pretty sure he/she would rate me a 10!
Final thoughts?
I'm not top notch geared, I'm around 5.2k gs and I haven't cleared whole ICC 25 yet. What I do have is a hell lot of experience and a hell lot of will and dedication. I just hope you will look more into the skills of a player then the current gear (it's not that bad). I didn't put up this application and thinking "In Excelsis seems like a hardcore guild, I hope they will accept me so I can get gear!". I don't give a shit about the gear to be honest, the major thing I care about is the raiding. I want to experience the feelings I once had again, and I really think you are the right guys to do it with.
Hope i didn't make you to bored reading my application and I hope you will consider me.
Best wishes, Bjoernborg!
